Doctrinal Statement
The Bible is the word of God
The Bible is the divinely inspired word of God. It is inerrant and infallible throughout all sixty six canonical books. It is the only authority by which the church explains and practices it’s faith, constructs its doctrines and formulates its theology.
God and the Trinity
There is only one true Living God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the creator and sustainer of all things. God is infinite, eternal, omniscient, infallible, and unchanging. He is the head of the trinity and he is the head of Christ.
Deity of Christ the son of God
Jesus is God the son, the second person in the Trinity and the promised Messiah of the Old Testament. In him dwelleth all the fullness of the godhead bodily.
The Deity of the Holy Ghost, Holy Spirit
God the Holy Spirit is the third person in the Trinity. He is a person sent from God to convict the world of sin, to regenerate and cleanse from sin, and to teach, guide, strengthen and perfect every believer.
Christ our atonement
God the father laid the iniquity of all on God the son whom he sent to die on the cross for the remission (pardon, forgiveness, payment) of the sins of the whole world. Because of his death and resurrection he is set forth to be the propitiation (reconcile us to God) through faith in his blood by which we receive atonement (adjustment, restoration to divine favor through satisfaction paid for wrong).
He was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. This reconciliation to God through Christ is the gospel and it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth for by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Virgin birth
God the son, Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin.
Life death and resurrection
God the son, Jesus died bodily on the cross. He was raised again bodily on the third day. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of the power of God from where he makes intercession for the saints of God.
The church
The church is an assembly of baptized believers organized under the authority the word of God the carry out the Great Commission to go into all the world and preach the gospel unto every creature. The church is the body of Christ on Earth and Christ is the head of the church.
Baptism by immersion under water
All who believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God should be baptized by immersion under water if they are able
Baptism doesn’t save us but represents, Jesus’s death, burial and resurrection and is a necessary demonstration of our acceptance of the Gospel. The fact that we believe that Jesus is the only begotten son of God.
That we believe that he was conceived and born (begotten) of the father, lived, shed his blood for the remission of our sins and died in our place, and was raised again and now sits at the right hand of the Father. Our baptism in Jesus name publicly says that we believe and accept these things.
The second coming of Jesus
The Church Looks for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. This is the second coming of Jesus Christ our Lord and savior and is what is commonly referred to as The Rapture of the church.
The Lord’s supper
The Lord’s supper or Holy communion is the sacrament instituted by the Lord by which the Church commemorates the Lord’s death as the source of atonement for the remission of sins. In communion we publicly declare that we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.
