Healing is of the Father and therefore the kingdom. And healing is of the kingdom and therefore it is of the Father.
Jesus tells us in Matthew 4 that kingdom of heaven is at hand….
Matthew 4:17 (KJV) From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Then in Matthew 6 Jesus tells us to pray….
Matthew 6:10 (KJV) Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
We are acknowledging that the kingdom is at hand (within reach) and that the will of God as it is in heaven should be done in the earth. God’s will is for us to be healed which is why he also said….
Luke 10:9 (KJV) And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.
It is the will of Jesus then that we be whole which is why he said to a leper….
Matthew 8:2-3 (KJV) And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
And why Jesus said….
Luke 12:32 (KJV) Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
The source of Healing and actually all deliverance is God from heaven and that is told to us throughout the bible. God himself makes a point of saying here that he will hear from Heaven and heal the land…
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
…. He will hear from heaven and heal the land. He made a point of saying he will hear from heaven. Now, because God the Father sent God the Son unto us the kingdom of Heaven is at hand
Also, the bible says…
James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
“No variableness, neither shadow of turning” tells us this has always been. Our help has always and only come from God in heaven to us down on earth.
Even the author of this psalm said….
Psalms 121:1-2 (KJV) I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.
Healing is linked to the kingdom of God many times in the Bible….
Luke 9:11 (KJV) And the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing.
This is because the healing that Jesus did was the fulfillment of prophesy and declared who he was…
Matthew 8:16-17 (KJV) When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:
That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.
As Jesus says himself here….
John 10:25 (KJV) Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me.
